Responsibilities

You’re a nurse looking to gain experience in both worlds — the in-depth work with admitted patients — located in the hustle of the Emergency Department (ED) at Clovis Community. When you join our recently expanded 70-bed ED, you will join a dynamic team that serves over 250 (and growing) patients per day! You will work in an exciting, fast-paced ED, caring for admitted patients who meet Med/Surg and Tele criteria. Your training will involve orientation on Med/Surg, Tele and Step Down floors to prepare you for the variety of patients you will be caring for. You will play a pivotal role between the ED and in-patient care, opening many opportunities for growth and development.

Participate in the development of an interdisciplinary treatment plan with specific and measurable goals, objectives and interventions defining actions unique to each patient's needs. Update and revise the plan as goals/objectives are met or when the patient's condition changes. Document both the nursing interventions on the treatment plan and the patient’s response to the intervention.
