HSS Florida - West Palm Beach is a world class orthopedics facility in South Florida which specializes in a specific area of orthopedics, including hand and upper extremities, shoulders, knee and hip replacements, spine surgery, sports medicine, and orthopedic trauma and injury. This opening is for a 40-hour position working 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. We offer CME allowance, and full-time benefits including profit sharing and immediate 401k matching contributions.

CRNA Nurse Anesthetist

Position Summary: The Nurse Anesthetist administers anesthesia under medical direction for diversified surgical cases, utilizing inhalation, intravenous, spinal or rectal agents. Emphasis in the work is on skilled application of appropriate professional techniques, constant review of anesthetized patients' condition during surgery, and completion of remedial measures to counteract unfavorable clinical conditions. Incumbents are also responsible for immediate preoperative and postoperative care of patients in the introduction of and recovery from anesthesia. Informs physician of patient’s condition during anesthesia. · Manages patients’ airway or pulmonary status using techniques, such as endotracheal intubation, mechanical ventilation, pharmacological support, respiratory therapy, and extubation. · Oversees patient recovery from anesthesia and cares for patient’s immediate post-operative needs. · Prepares prescribed solutions and administers local, intravenous, spinal, or other anesthetics following specified methods and procedures. · Responds to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering fluids or drugs, and using basic or advanced life support techniques. · Develops anesthesia care plans. · Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
