Description

Job Summary:    

  • Triage patients in the clinic; vital signs and medication reconciliation.    

  • Perform EKG's.     

  • Maintain files, faxes, and dictation to the primary physician.    

  • Precert procedure(s)/test(s) when required.    

  • Performs individualized patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation

  • Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.

  • Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.  

Qualifications


Education:       
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required. Licensed by the Alabama State Board of Nursing required.    

Experience:  
One year experience in a healthcare field.     

Additional Skills/Abilities:

Possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with guests. Proficient oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills required. BLS and NRP certification within one year of hire date.

Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following policies and procedures. Verify patient information by interviewing patient and confirming purpose of the visit. Precert procedure/test when required. Determine if the purpose of visit is urgent or emergent; refer to ER if necessary. Collect patient demographics upon arrival.
