We are hiring Nurse Practitioners and PhysicianAssistants with acute care experience in ER, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine to join our growing team serving the Seattle community. Our Advanced Practice Providers team with DHMTs (Medical Technicians) and are equipped with everything needed to treat common to complex injuries and illnesses through comprehensive health assessments, including diagnosis, treatment, and outcome management, for patients of all ages. Our innovative model allows us to provide definitive care in the home, including point of care laboratory studies, minor procedures, splinting, wound care, suturing, IV fluid and medication administration. We provide whole person care by facilitating timely follow up and care coordination.

In 2024, they achieved significant milestones, including completing 476,428 acute care visits, advanced care admissions, and imaging studies. Job Details:

Flexible Shifts: 10-hour shifts (8am - 6pm, 9am - 7pm, 10am - 8pm, 11am - 9pm, 12pm - 10pm)
Work-Life Balance: You’ll be required to work 3-4 shifts per week , this would include the requirement of every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
1:1 patient ratio , see 7-10 patients per shift.

Ideal Candidate:

Holds an APP license in the state of WA.

BLS certified .

What You'll Do

Workaspart of a clinical care team with a DHMT (DispatchHealth MedicalTechnician)and individually,as appropriatefor the service line,to deliver care in the patient’s home throughour innovative in-home care service lines.This involves being in a mobile unit and driving or riding in a company vehicle to the place of service.
As business dictate, you will independently deliver care (without being accompanied by a Medical Technician).
Perform comprehensive health assessments and diagnose and treat complex illnesses.
Provide therapeutic interventions, such as splinting, suturing, wound care and minor procedures.
Use critical thinking skills and follow evidence-based standards of practice.
Accurately and thoroughly document your patient encounter and ensure accuracy.
Analyze test data to diagnose, treat and arrange appropriate follow up for the patient to ensure continuity of care.
Educate patients and families on how to treat their acute illness and manage their health and well-being.
Effectively navigate difficult conversations related to end-of-life issues and goals of care.
Communicate effectively with patients, family, the medical power of attorney, primary care provider and all individuals involved in the patient’s care.
Identify and proactively solve problems.
Adhere to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics.
Provide care with compassion, empathy, and cultural competency.
Maintain positive relationships with DHMT partners and remote teams.
Attend training sessions and clinical team meetings.
Maintain professional etiquette and serve as ambassadors for DispatchHealth.

What You Need

Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital, Family Practice, Cardiac, Pulmonary or other relevant areas
Those with less than two years of experience as an APP, but with two or more years’ experience as a paramedic, RN (ED or ICU), Flight Nurse or a graduate from an ENP program or fellowship (NP’s) or EM/Hospitalist residency (PA’s) are also encouraged to apply
Graduate with an advanced degree from an accredited institution
Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Nationally board certified, current
Current BLS required, ACLS certification preferred
Prescriptive authority and DEA
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Complete required drivers training upon hire
Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily
Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed

Essential Job Duties • Provides general medical care and care coordination to various and/or specific patient member populations – adult, women’s health, pediatric, and geriatric. • Performs comprehensive evaluations including history and physical exams for gaps in care and preventive assessments. • Addresses both chronic and acute primary care complaints, and demonstrates ability to ascertain medical urgency. • Establishes and documents reasonable medical diagnoses. • Seeks specialty consultation as appropriate. • Orders/performs pertinent diagnostic laboratory and radiology testing for the medical diagnosis or presenting symptoms; works within an environment of limited resources and therefore uses diagnostic tests judiciously and appropriately. • Understands when a member's needs are beyond their scope of knowledge and when physician oversight is needed. • Creates and implements a medical plan of care. • Schedules appointments for visits when appropriate. • Provides post-discharge coordination to reduce hospital readmission rates and emergency room utilization. • Performs face-to-face in-person visits in a variety of settings including in-home, skilled nursing facilities, and public locations. • Performs face-to-face visits via alternative modalities based on business need, leadership direction and state regulations. • Orders bulk laboratory orders to target specific member populations. • Performs alternating on-call coverage to triage any urgent lab results and pharmacy inquiries and develops appropriate plans of care. • Participates in community-based “pop up clinics” to build relationships with communities, and address gaps in health care. • Drives up to 120 miles a day on a regular basis to a variety of locations within the assigned region.
