Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – General Surgery & Gastroenterology (Inpatient)Mercy Medical Center – Aurora, COMercy Medical Center in Aurora is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our inpatient care team. This role will primarily support General Surgery while also assisting with Gastroenterology services, providing comprehensive care to our patients.Position Highlights• Schedule: Days only – no nights required• Setting: Inpatient, with collaboration across surgery and gastroenterology• Team Environment: Work closely with surgeons, gastroenterologists, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure exceptional patient outcomes

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations, daily rounding, and treatment planning• Support pre- and post-operative care management• Collaborate on gastroenterology consults and procedures• Provide patient and family education• Assist with care coordination, discharge planning, and follow-upCompensation & Benefits• Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000 annually (based on experience)• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off• Professional growth opportunities, CME support, and continuing education

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Colorado• National certification in good standing• Prior experience in surgery, gastroenterology, or inpatient care preferred• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $120,000-140,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
