A Dialysis Registered Nurse (Float) provides specialized nursing care at one of DCI’s in-center hemodialysis units as part of a patient care team. Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes are prioritized for every patient.

Schedule: This is a Float position. Full-time, four 10-hour shifts starting at 5:45; Sundays off; no overnight shifts

Compensation: Pay range depending on nursing and dialysis experience. $5,000 sign on bonus

Responsibilities

What You Can Expect:

Prepare dialysis machine, its alarms, and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met
Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures
Ongoing patient education, training and health coaching
Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families
Administer and chart all prescribed medications
Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations
Participate in patient care conferences, rounds and chart reviews
Document required patient education efforts
Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
Assist in medication inventory maintenance
Lead a small patient care team
Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed
Additional tasks as requested

We are currently looking for a US-licensed RN with bedside nursing experience. The nurse will provide support to our clinical staff including our physician assistants and nurse practitioners. The nurse will also provide virtual support to bedside nurses caring for admitted patients. The ability to efficiently triage changes of patient conditions such as infections, falls, behavioral issues, and lab results, is a necessity. The ideal candidate must be friendly, outgoing, motivated, and have sufficient clinical experience including experience with using electronic health records. Candidates must be able to multitask in a busy environment and be comfortable providing care across multiple areas of a health system.
