Multi-Specialty Infusion RN (Per Diem)

Registered Nurse (RN) will work in our outpatient Multi-Specialty Infusion Center providing holistic, quality nursing care for patients/families and/or others for a patient population within the Infusion Centers. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following: • Demonstrates excellent ability to perform patient assessments, and provide symptom management as well as patient and family education. • Practices safe administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy, infusions, injections, and transfusions. • Acts as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up including, but not exclusive to: providers, social work, dietician, integrative medicine, pharmacy, navigators, laboratory, radiation therapy, genetics, and clinical research. • Collaborate with provider offices to schedule patients for infusion visits. • Triage of patients through use of pathways and collaboration with physicians for toxicities, symptom management and needs for referrals within the RN scope of practice. • Manage a caseload of patients receiving a variety of infusion and oral therapies on an outpatient basis. • Demonstrates high level skills to manage complex workload effectively to provide safest, high quality care. •Demonstrates an excellent ability to communicate through various methods and with various audiences to achieve desired outcome(s). •Participates and engages in continuous professional development, safety behaviors and focus on the patient experience. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Current Connecticut RN License Education: · BSN strongly preferred Experience: · Three years of infusion nursing including immunotherapy strongly preferred We take great care of careers. Registered Nurse (RN) - OR General Surgery

Job Summary Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Promote safe care for patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures through evidence based practices as the RN Circulator. Provides support to the surgical team for maintaining a high level of sterility. Responsibilities Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assess patients and to identify physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and age related needs in order to provide individualized care to the patient. Reviews charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards Communicate with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care Assess patients prior to surgery (e.g. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns Prepare the operating room for surgery (supplies, implants, instruments, equipment) Check equipment & troubleshoot as needed Assume responsibility of keeping the operating room sterilized Position and prepare patient on operating table Monitor patient’s vital signs to detect anomalies Adhere to safety standards and precautions Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation when scrubbed Qualifications Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Associate degree required, BSN preferred Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Current 2 years’ experience as Operating Room Nurse (scrub is a plus, not required) Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures Critical thinker and problem solver Team Player Excellent organizational and time management skills A great team player with excellent communication skills We take great care of careers.
