This leadership role supports the Director of Nursing in managing the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering exceptional care to our residents in a long-term care setting. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and evaluating nursing services. Help develop and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and departmental objectives. Coordinate nursing services with other departments to ensure continuity of resident care. Supervise nursing staff and ensure adherence to job descriptions and care standards. Participate in facility inspections and surveys conducted by regulatory agencies. Support discharge planning and resident admissions. Monitor quality improvement (QI), quality measures (QM), and survey reports. Assist with staffing assessments, recruitment, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Conduct rounds to ensure proper care and cleanliness in resident areas. Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules.
