Transports residents on active therapy program, as well as assists in therapy-related activities assigned by rehab personnel. Responsible for clerical duties assigned by the director and other rehabilitation staff for timely and organized maintenance of equipment and medical records. Duties of an exceptional Rehab Aide (CNA) include: Assists in direct therapy service provision by carrying out delegated, selected patient related tasks under the direct supervision of a therapist allowed by state and federal law. Transports or escorts patients/residents to and from the therapy department safely and efficiently. Provides additional physical help for patient transfer and safety needs under the direct supervision of a therapist or therapist assistant. Maintains cleanliness and safety of the rehabilitation department’s physical environment and equipment. Responsible for maintenance and replenishment of daily needs of clean linen and other commonly used items. Completes assigned clerical duties, such as computer data entry, photocopying, filing, answering the phone, retrieval of therapy-related documentation, and other paperwork. Maintains a record of equipment maintenance and cleaning schedule as assigned by the therapist manager/s. Performs other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor. Exhibits courtesy, compassion, and respect to patients, residents, families, caregivers, visitors, physicians, administrators, and co-workers. Adheres to established confidentiality standards, including but not limited to HIPPA regulations and internal company policies. Rehab Aide Requirements Include: High school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in a health care setting preferred. Current certification as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) required . Writes and understands English; Basic computer skills. Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers. Demonstrates good organizational and interpersonal skills. Interested in assisting those in need, and enjoy working with the elderly.
Location: Cuyahoga County Ohio Job Overview A respiratory therapist is responsible for the care, evaluation and tests of the patients from complications related to breathing. Respiratory therapist practice under the able guidance of expert physicians and should ensure that all respiratory care, starting from diagnosis to therapeutic treatment is properly carried out. Qualifications Required: A OH Respiratory License BLS Certification RRT Certification Preferred 2-3 years’ experience is preferable ACLS, AHA Essential Functions Administer aerosol medications, Chest PT, and related therapies, including medical gas therapy per physician’s orders or approved protocols. Perform rounds on all assigned patients to deliver appropriate care. Assess and interpret patient status using Laboratory and Radiology results along with vital signs and other assessments to identify and provide appropriate care based on the specific needs identified. Evaluate therapy orders for completeness, quality and effectiveness using Evidence-Based Practice Guidelines. Recommend changes in the care plan based on assessments.
