To become a Nurse Intern in Poudre School District you must complete the Nurse Intern application. This application is for placements starting in fall 2026 . To be considered for an intern placement in one of our schools, you should: be entering your final semester/year of a nurse program be able to pass a criminal background check, including submitting a complete set of fingerprints with the Colorado Department of Education/PSD be enrolled in a college/university that has a signed internship agreement with PSD Placements will be completed with the following criteria: availability of qualified staff in requested areas willingness of schools/staff to take an intern outcome of internship interview between principal, lead/supervisor, and prospective intern Current Nurse University Partners: Capella University Colorado State University University of Northern Colorado Interns or representatives of the requesting programs should NOT contact PSD Nurses or principals directly regarding placement requests.
