We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to join our growing team at Pensacola Nursing & Rehabilitation Center The RN Unit Manager executes the goals and objectives of the nursing department regarding patient/resident rights, patient/resident care and reflects the mission statement of the facility. Serves as a role model to nursing staff while facilitating outcomes-based care delivery, cost management, and enhanced customer satisfaction within the context of an interdisciplinary framework. Provides leadership and direction for the nursing staff while being responsible for the overall management of the Nursing Department. Ensures nursing staff's compliance with all facility and nursing policies and procedures as well as compliance with regulatory requirements. RN Unit Manager Qualifications : · Must hold valid RN License in state working · LTC Experience Preferred · Basic computer skills · Excellent communication skills · Minimum 5+ years nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home or other healthcare setting and a minimum 1-year experience as a nurse supervisor · CPR/BLS certified · Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care centers. RN Unit Manager Responsibilities include: · The RN Unit Manager identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. · Maintains nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures. · Maintains nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. · The RN Unit Manager assures quality of care by developing and interpreting hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care; enforcing adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations; measuring health outcomes against standards; making or recommending adjustments.
