Olympia Convalescent Hospital is located in Korea Town. We are looking for a Treatment Nurse to join our team. Pay Scale $35-39 with a $1500 sign on bonus! Shift: Sunday to Wednesday AM (7am - 3pm) Essential Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse : Ability to perform wound assessment, reassessment, and management for all patients and per policy. Coordinate treatment to provide comprehensive wound assessments and plan of care. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of staging system of wounds. Develops skin care programs to prevent skin breakdown. Demonstrates knowledge and skill to develop and implement policies and procedures to manage patients with draining wounds, fistulae and/or tubes; wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and incontinence. Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan for effectiveness. Demonstrates ability to perform treatments and provide services with nursing scope of practice. Responsible for skin-breakdown prevention (in conjunction with the dietary/nutrition team). Acts as the resource person for physicians and clinical staff for wound management. Excellent documentation on wound treatments and progress. Fulfill other nursing duties as required. State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). CPR and basic life support (BLS) certifications. Certification and prior experience in wound care.
