Registered Nurse ( RN ) Supervisor Major Duties and Critical Tasks: Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned. Ensures compliance with current applicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies and procedures. Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff. Makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or as necessary. Ensures an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit to adequately meet the needs of the resident and notifies appropriate personnel of needs. Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident. Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated. Encourages staff to attend and participate in outside training programs and schedules times as appropriate. Registered Nurse ( RN ) Supervisor Education and Experience: A nursing degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings as an Minimum one (1) year of experience as a nursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home setting Current CPR Certification. Must also meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effect against professional license.

Some of your Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Responsibilities include: Admissions, Discharge and Transfers of residents Medication requisitions with pharmacy and physicians Medication administration Following infection control, emergencies, and other center policies Collaborating with resident’s interdisciplinary team to provide the best outcomes Identifying and reporting all abnormal changes in residents’ condition to proper personnel per center policy Works under direct supervision in accordance with the state-specific Nurse Practice Act, facility Policies and Procedures, and nursing judgment. Delivers nursing care to patients/residents requiring long-term or rehabilitative care. Collects patient/resident data, makes observations, and reports pertinent information related to the care of the patient/resident. According to state-specific regulations, implements the patient/resident plan of care and evaluates the patient/resident response. In accordance with state-specific regulations, directs and supervises care given by other nursing personnel in selected situations. Maintains knowledge of necessary documentation requirements. Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up, maintenance and use, i.e., monitors, infusion devices, drain devices, etc. Maintains confidentiality and patient/resident rights, regarding all patient/resident/ personnel information. A minimum of one year medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care (hospital) setting or long-term care setting (acute/critical care is preferred). Must possess a current Registered Nurse ( RN ) license in state(s) of practice. Must have a reliable source of transportation. The Registered Nurse ( RN ) is responsible to plan and deliver nursing care to patients/residents requiring long-term and/or rehabilitative care.
