The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Transport Aide is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to residents while assisting with daily living activities. In addition, this role includes safely transporting residents to and from appointments, activities, and other designated areas within or outside the facility. The CNA / Transport Aide plays a vital role in ensuring residents’ comfort, dignity, and safety at all times. Responsibilities: Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and assisting with meals. Assist residents with mobility, positioning, and ambulation as needed. Observe and report any changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff promptly. Safely transport residents to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and facility activities using appropriate equipment (wheelchair, stretcher, or transport van). Ensure residents are safely secured during transport and that comfort measures are provided. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of transport equipment and vehicles. Assist nursing and therapy teams with resident transfers as needed. Document all resident care and transport activities according to facility policy. Uphold residents’ rights, privacy, and confidentiality at all times. Adhere to infection control, safety, and facility procedures. Qualifications: Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of NV Current and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required if transporting via facility vehicle). CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred. Ability to safely lift, move, and transport residents using proper body mechanics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, and staff.
