Plan and organize the daily functions of the Nursing department Use independent judgment and follow regulatory guidelines in the delivery of quality resident care Plan and organize day-to-day functions of resident care Responsibilities: · Lead the nursing team to improve and sustain the superior performance of the facility · Participate in the development and updating of the interdisciplinary plan of care · Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure quality care standards · Lead, train, and supervise nursing staff · Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations · Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures · Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care. · Assists in the implementation of changes in the Plan of Care for the improvement of client care. · Promotes and maintains client health through teaching and appropriate rehabilitative measures. · Coordinates services for patients, as needed, to other agencies and health care providers as appropriate. · Review and audit admission paperwork · Will perform chart audits as assigned. · Reviewing and monitoring infections and other incidents and ensuring follow up is completed. · Completes chart reviews as assigned. · Ensures that the skills checklist and competencies will be completed for all staff upon hire and annually. · Other duties as assigned and/or as listed in State Regulations.
