Position Summary: The Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations and nursing staff of an assigned unit within a long-term care or skilled nursing facility. This role combines leadership and direct care, ensuring high-quality resident outcomes, regulatory compliance, and effective team coordination. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Oversight: Coordinate and oversee all nursing care provided on the unit. Ensure care plans are accurate, updated, and followed. Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely physician and family notification of changes. Conduct clinical rounds to assess resident status, evaluate staff performance, and address care issues. Participate in resident admissions, discharges, and transfers. Administer medications and treatments as needed in compliance with policies and physician orders.
