Here is some of what you can expect from being a Surgical Technician with us: You will be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department. You will be experienced in all aspects of aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases, pulling cases as needed, and breaking down cases at the end of the procedure. You will be knowledgeable regarding instrumentation, equipment and supply needs for all types of surgical procedures. You will perform delegated duties consistent with your scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery. What you will do in this role: The role of the CVOR Surgical Technician is to assist the OR team in the care of patients, equipment and supplies. The CVOR Surgical Technician in Surgery provides care for adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older . The surgical technologist in the first scrub role handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure .
