Specialized Care Support: Provide individualized care for residents with specific medical needs, including assistance with personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs). Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely medication records and documentation, including reporting any adverse reactions or medication errors to the supervising nurse. Resident Monitoring: Monitor residents for side effects or changes in condition related to medication, notifying the healthcare team of any concerns or changes in their health status. Medication Storage & Handling: Ensure medications are stored safely and securely in compliance with state regulations and facility policies. Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care and outcomes for residents. Compliance & Safety: Follow all regulations, guidelines, and protocols for medication administration and safety to ensure the highest standard of care. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred State certification as a Medication Aide preferred, on-the-job training available. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for caregiving. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Personal Care Assistance: Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Support residents with eating, hydration, and nutritional needs. Help residents maintain personal hygiene and overall comfort. Health Monitoring: Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing team. Assist with medication reminders and basic healthcare tasks under the supervision of licensed staff. Resident Engagement: Foster meaningful relationships with residents through companionship and supportive care. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, senior living, or long-term care setting preferred. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Basic knowledge of nursing care procedures and safety practices. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Ability to assist residents with mobility and physical support as needed. Certifications & Requirements: Active CNA certification in good standing with the state. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
