Qualifications Must have successfully completed a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) program, or be enrolled and complete the program within four months of hire Key Responsibilities Provide hygiene assistance to residents Assist residents with feeding and daily living needs Perform basic treatments and procedures as directed by the charge nurse Observe and report residents’ psycho-social and emotional needs Notify the Charge Nurse of any changes in residents’ conditions Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance Demonstrate respectful and professional behavior toward co-workers and facility contacts Use nursing home equipment properly and safely Follow OSHA guidelines for handling and storing chemicals and equipment Attend required in-service training programs Assist in other areas as directed by the Director of Nursing Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Lift up to 50 pounds Frequent bending, turning, pushing, and pulling Use of both hands and arms Exposure to odors, body secretions, and excrements Potential exposure to behavioral disorders Must be able to manage interpersonal conflicts effectively Apply today and become a vital part of a team that brings comfort, dignity, and care to those who need it most.
Parma Care Center is currently hiring a night shift Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. Parma Care Center is a Post-Hospital Rehabilitation and Care Facility that has been providing care for over three decades. We are looking for dependable, professional, and detailed oriented Registered Nurses to join our team. Responsibilities include: · Assess daily and long-term needs of residents. · Medication administration and recording according to physician's orders, facility policy and safe nursing practice. · Treatments and dressings and recording according to physicians’ orders, facility policy and safe nursing practice. · Completion of precise and professional charting according to policy. · Communication with residents and responsible parties regarding resident condition, treatment, appointments, etc. · Communication with pharmacy to assure proper medications for each resident. · Coordination of all nursing functions of assigned unit/team. · Hands on care of residents as needed and other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills required: · Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) · Currently licensed as a nurse in the State of Ohio and is a graduate of an approved school of nursing. · Genuine interest in Geriatric nursing and care of the sick. · Ability to work congenially with others and to handle interpersonal conflict. · Alertness and skill in recognizing and identifying symptoms. · Neat, professional appearance
