Job Description Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. How you'll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) on our Medical Surgical team who excels in this role will: Provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Document patient care given. Monitor, record, and communicate the patient's condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Perform other duties as assigned. May be required to perform duties of the CNA, MA or LPN or other nursing staff on occasion. Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned.
