Job Responsibilities

Providing quality care in post-acute facilities as an RN
Going over options for care and observing outcomes with physicians other staff
Developing care plans and best options with medical staff and residents
Being accountable to follow and adhere to resident care plans
Setting up medical equipment and monitoring their use
Drawing fluids, such as blood and urine, for lab work
Administering appropriate treatments and medications to residents
Ensuring proper staff compliance with nursing standards and facility policies
Working with residents and family members regarding best care options
Supervising and training of nursing and other staff, as needed
Making sure resident histories and interventions are properly documented
Helping with incident investigations

Qualifications and Skills

Current Delaware state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Graduation from approved nursing program
At least 6 months of experience (RN or similar role)
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

As a member of the Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) health care team the CAP RN 1 participates in decision-making teaching leadership functions and quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities are expected to be performed in accordance with Fresenius Kidney Care policy procedures standards of nursing practice state and federal regulations. Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Clinical Manager (CM) and with the guidance from the Educator Preceptor or a CAP RN 2 3 4 or 5 for the first 6 months of employment. Expected to complete requirements to advance to the next CAP level for which they qualify within 24 months from date of hire.
