Job Responsibilities

Providing resident-focused, high-quality care while working as a RN in post-acute facilities
Developing individualized care plans for residents in coordination with the wider medical team
Reviewing care options with clinicians, nursing staff, residents, and their family members
Setting up and using medical equipment and devices as needed for effective care
Administering medications and providing treatments to residents consistent with their care plan
Measuring and monitoring resident vital signs and drawing fluids as needed for labs and testing

that nursing personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards · Ensure that all nursing service personnel comply with the policies and procedures, including dress code as set forth in the Nursing Procedure Manual · Ensure that an enough nursing staff are scheduled and available for your/next tour of duty to ensure that quality care is new admission · Visit resident on report daily to observe and evaluate each resident's physical and emotional status · Review the nurse's notes to ensure that they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care being provided · Start and restart IV’s when ordered and when necessary · Ensure the staff refer to the resident's care plan prior to administering care to the resident · Assist the staff nurses in monitoring seriously ill resident · Ensure that all nurses on your shift comply with the written procedures for the administration, storage and control of medications and supplies · Monitor medication passes and treatments to ensure compliance with physician orders and facility policy · Review medication administration records (MAR) for completeness of information, accuracy in the transcription of physician orders · Inspect nursing treatment areas daily, such as clean utility room, to ensure that they are maintained in a clean and safe manner · Consult with the resident, family, and physician in planning the resident's care, treatment and rehabilitation · Assist in arranging transportation for transfers to the hospital · Participate in the implementation of facility quality improvement program for the nursing service department · Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing · Attend and actively participate in various committee meetings such as Infection Control, Safety, and Performance Improvement as requested · Implement recommendations from committees as instructed by the Director of Nursing · Perform Performance Improvement audits as assigned · Participate in and adhere to employee health, safety, security and corporate compliance programs and Job Responsibilities Providing high-quality RN care in post-acute facilities Reviewing various care options with the medical team, residents, and their family members Coordinating with clinical teams to develop individualized care plans Being accountable to follow and adhere to resident care plans Administering appropriate medications and treatments to residents Drawing fluids as needed for labs and testing Using and monitoring medical equipment and devices to ensure effectiveness Training and supervising nursing professionals and other care staff consistent with scope of practice guidelines Promoting staff compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, facility policies, and nursing standards of care Documenting all relevant data to include vital signs, nursing interventions and responses, and resident histories Assisting staff members with incident investigations and the development of care best practices Qualifications and Skills Current Massachusetts state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) 6 months of experience (in an RN or related role) Completion of an approved nursing program High level of organizational skills Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across medical and nursing teams Ability to lift at least 50 lbs Your Path to a Better Work-Life Balance Can Start Today As you look for Registered Nurse (RN) jobs near you, this is your chance to finally have a job that accommodates your life.
