Essential Functions: Utilizes established triage protocols and guidelines to evaluate and assess patient’s/caller’s health care needs based on signs, symptoms, complaints, and lab results. Pulls lab and imaging results, adds them to the EMR, and consults with physicians or RNs regarding test results as needed. Assists with medication refill requests following provider-approved protocols and under appropriate supervision. Performs phlebotomy (where permitted by state regulations and facility policies). Provides patient education on prescribed follow-ups, medications, and therapies, and reinforces provider-directed instructions. Assists, as needed, with phone triage under RN or provider supervision.
