Job Summary and Responsibilities
RN Per Diem I, a health care team within the guidelines of hospital policy and procedures. The Clinical Nurse I identify and correct nursing service problems and maintain patient care in accordance with hospital policy and regulatory agencies while effectively utilizing the chain of command. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Community Hospital of San Bernardino strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement process and activities.
Per Diem employees are hired on an as needed basis in designated positions and departments, in response to fluctuations in service volume and labor supply.
They are required to be highly flexible with their work schedules in response to requests to report to work on short notice and responsive when called off from work with minimal notice due to work load variances.
Per Diem I – Has at least two years of RN experience and must agree to work 1 major holiday, 1 minor
holiday, 6 shifts per 6 week period and 2 of which shall be weekend shifts per 6 week period.
Job Requirements
- 2 years of unit specific experience required, Surgical Services
- California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
