PeaceHealth Sacred Heart is now accepting applications for the Coeta and Donald Barker Foundation Nurse Residency Program at Sacred Heart Medical Center Riverbend in Springfield, Oregon. This is an exceptional opportunity for new graduate nurses to join a program designed to foster technical expertise, compassionate care and professional growth.

Our 12-month transition-to-practice program offers interactive, evidence-based curriculum that builds clinical skills, leadership and confidence in the professional nurse role. What you bring:

Recent RN graduate (within 12 month) or a RN licensed less than 12 months with less than 6 months of Acute Care experience
Active Oregon RN license by date of hire
American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by date of hire.
Able to participate in all program activities throughout the 12-month residency period
Ability to work a minimum of 36 hours/week, variable shifts and shift lengths and rotate per union standards
Commitment to a 12-month program and willingness to sign a 2-year agreement

Additional details:

Start dates are between June 15th - September 7th 2026 and determined by several factors including: NCLEX (one retest attempt allowed), Licensing, relocation and department needs.

The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $49.30 – $77.46. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

Provides professional nursing direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards. Promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all members of the care delivery team.
