MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital is seeking an experienced part-time Certified Nurse Midwife to join our established Women’s Health practice.This position is 20 hours per week, and requires both office and inpatient call coverage. The Women's Health Practice is located adjacent to Mid Coast Hospital and is the first official Centering Pregnancy site in Maine. Desired Qualifications And Experience

  • BSN/MSN and successful completion of nurse midwifery program accredited by the ACNM.
  • Active State of Maine Nursing License for RN and APRN-CNM Certification by ACNM
  • Active DEA License Current BLS certification
  • At least 1 year of experience required.

Summary The Registered Nurse – Patient Navigator – MHMG MMCP role guides patients through the care continuum, establishing contact with recurrent and newly diagnosed cancer patients and/or family members, or caregivers. The Patient Navigator will understand the clinical pathways established by the Oncology Program and will direct the patients to health care services within the organization, at outside facilities, and within the community for timely diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. Experience in both oncology and triage nursing is strongly preferred for this role. However, candidates with triage experience in other specialties will also be considered. Equally important to clinical experience is a candidate’s attitude, adaptability, and overall cultural fit within the team. The individual selected for this position must be flexible and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. The practice is currently undergoing operational changes and will continue to evolve as workflows are improved and processes are optimized.
