A healthcare role is available for a licensed School-Based RN/LPN in the Athens, GA area, offering a full-time contract position within a school setting. This position provides essential nursing services to young students, including specialized care for those requiring tracheostomy, gastrostomy (G-tube), and jejunostomy (J-tube) management.

Location: Athens, GA
Schedule: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
Student Age Group: Approximately 5 years old

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Georgia RN or LPN license
  • Recent experience (within the last year) managing tracheostomy, G-tube, and J-tube care
  • Experience in school-based nursing preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care and support to school-aged children, focusing on those with complex medical needs
  • Administer medications, monitor health status, and perform necessary clinical procedures
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and school policies
