RN School Contract

A contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized school nursing services in Canton, MI. This role focuses exclusively on bus riding duties, supporting student health and safety during transportation times. The position is temporary due to a current contractor’s leave of absence from April 6 through April 10, with the possibility of extension based on recovery needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and assisting students’ health needs during bus rides to and from school
  • Administering medication and basic first aid as required during transportation
  • Collaborating with school staff and parents to communicate health concerns
  • Maintaining accurate records of student health status and incidents during bus rides
  • Adhering to health, safety, and confidentiality protocols throughout the assignment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN licensure
  • Experience in school nursing preferred, particularly in transport supervision roles
  • Ability to manage minor medical needs in a fast-paced, mobile setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable availability for early morning and late afternoon shifts, with a midday break

Location: Canton, Michigan (bus route-based assignment)
