Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions. This role focuses on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strong clinical judgment.
RNs actively involve patients and their families in the care process while fostering a supportive, professional environment aligned with organizational values of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status, identifying actual and potential health concerns
- Develop and implement individualized care plans using evidence-based practices
- Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans to optimize outcomes
- Engage patients and families as active participants in care planning and delivery
- Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality
- Delegate and supervise care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP)
- Promote a positive unit culture and contribute to a collaborative work environment
- Uphold standards of patient advocacy, safety, and clinical excellence
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred at time of hire
Education Requirements:
- RNs hired without a BSN must obtain a BSN within 3 years of hire
Certification Requirements:
- Professional nursing board certification preferred at hire
- Required within 2 years of hire (or when eligible, if eligibility requires more than 2 years of experience)
