Mesilla Valley Hospital is currently seeking a Full Time Mental Health Technician.

The MHT therapeutically interacts with the patient and assists in maintaining safety and cleanliness of the unit. Collaborates closely with the more experienced MHTs and Nurses to provide a therapeutic milieu under their guidance. MHTs are expected to use training skills consistently. The MHT functions as an active part of the treatment team, they are role models to patients and other MHT. The MHT work’s under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Therapist. MHT demonstrate commitment to Service Excellence program.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Degree/GED required; or Associates Degree in a Human Services field; or Bachelors Degree in a Human Services field; or a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Experience:
One year of work experience in a behavioral health facility, or bachelor' s degree in social services or related field, plus one year of work experience in behavioral health service or delivery preferred.

WORK HOURS: 12 hour shifts available. PRN employees must work four shifts per month, one shift must include a weekend.
