What You’ll Do At DBH
- Oversee clinical practice components of nurse education and training programs
- Assist with curriculum development for nurse training programs alongside staff education, department heads, and director of nursing.
- Serves as a clinical resource for the Electronic Health Record (EPIC) system, training & supporting nursing and interdisciplinary staff
- Provide education & evaluation to nursing and patient care staff
- Assist with the onboarding process & training of new hires
- Supervise Nursing Education Department & Admission Nurse
- Organizes & directs operation of Central Nursing Office (CNO) in collaboration with Hospital Aide Supervisor
- Provides coverage for Nursing Scheduler as needed
- Supervises nursing staff
This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of #15 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm (Flexible Schedule). This position is located within our Heartland Behavioral Healthcare campus at 3000 Erie Street S., Massillon, OH 44646.
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
Position Qualifications
Requires current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code; 24 mos. exp. in psychiatric nursing or delivery of nursing services to persons with developmental disabilities; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in employee training & development; 3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in public relations; 3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in counseling.
- Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience requirements, but not for the mandated licensure.
