About the Opportunity
MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiology team. This unique 30‑hour-per-week position blends inpatient cardiology hospitalist care with participation in our stress‑testing program, offering a dynamic and rewarding clinical experience.
What You’ll Do
Provide inpatient cardiology hospitalist support in collaboration with our Cardiology team
Conduct and interpret cardiac stress tests
Participate in patient evaluation, management, and care planning
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure high‑quality patient care
Contribute to a positive, team‑oriented clinical environment
What We’re Looking For
Licensed Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner (Maine licensure or eligibility)
Experience in cardiology, acute care, or hospital medicine preferred
Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative care model
Commitment to compassionate, patient‑centered care
