A healthcare professional is needed to provide specialized nursing care within a middle and high school setting in Acton, MA. This role focuses on supporting medically complex students, ensuring their health needs are safely managed during the school day. The position requires an experienced RN or LPN with an active Massachusetts license.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a caseload of approximately 10 students with complex medical needs
  • Monitor and manage seizures and other health conditions, ensuring student safety
  • Administer G-tube feedings and medications following prescribed care plans
  • Collaborate with educational staff to support students' health and wellness in the classroom
  • Maintain detailed documentation of nursing interventions and student progress
  • Adhere to school policies and healthcare regulations to provide a safe learning environment

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current RN or LPN license in Massachusetts
  • Experience caring for medically complex pediatric or adolescent populations preferred
  • Knowledge of seizure management, G-tube care, medication administration, and general nursing practices
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, with an early noon dismissal on Wednesdays
