This opportunity is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide essential nursing care in an elementary school setting in Lansing, KS. The role focuses on delivering one-on-one nursing support to a student with a tracheostomy as well as administering multiple tube feedings to several other students throughout the day. This position offers a contract assignment with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized nursing care to a student with a tracheostomy, ensuring safety and proper medical management.
- Administer tube feedings to multiple students, monitoring for tolerance and potential complications.
- Monitor students health conditions and communicate effectively with school staff and families.
- Maintain accurate health records and follow care plans tailored to each students medical needs.
- Respond promptly to health emergencies and provide routine medical support within the school environment.
Qualifications:
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kansas.
