What you'll do
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or LPN, Advanced, provides basic nursing care; provide support and assistance by performing clerical, administrative assistant and clinical responsibility under the direction of the Employee Health, Registered Professional Nurse, and Employee Health Physician. The LPN functions as part of the interdisciplinary health care team.
- Provides ongoing nursing care individualized to the department needs
- Perform clerical duties as assigned
- Collaborate with all Bassett Healthcare Networks
- Assist with documentation of Workers compensation and other necessary documents
- Communicate with RN on services provided to personal when needed
- Provides support personnel according to department guidelines, as measured by co-worker feedback and managerial observation
- Identifies practice problems and consistently seeks solutions through appropriate communication channels
- Performs, maintains and documents testing/supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Order office supplies as needed
- Assists with various outreach clinics such as vaccines clinics
- Refers personal with identifiable limitations and/or health risks to RN, and Employee Health Physician
- Trends employee illnesses/injuries to identify safety and health issues
- Performs an immunization update and determines new personal immunity to immunizations as per regulatory standards
- Perform TB screening for all new personal, using a TST / QuantiFeron Gold / T-spot or documenting previous exposure and assuring that the new employee if free of symptoms
- Perform Fit Testing per OSHA standards
- Advocates for personal to ensure that care preserves and protects the patient’s autonomy, dignity and rights
- Delivers care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to employee patient diversity, 100% of the time, as measured by supervisory observation
- Maintains current licensure, certification, and competencies
- Provides proof of current BLS validation to supervisor
- Completes required departmental policy by providing documented evidence of completion to supervisor
- Provides to supervisor evidence of completion all required annual training and competency validation
- Practices within the New York State-defined LPN scope of practice 100% of the time, as determined by co-worker feedback and direct supervisory observation
- Acquires and maintains current knowledge and skills in his/her area of practice
- Functions within the L.P.N. scope of practice
- Adherence to legal requirements pertinent to employee health and safety
- Participates in required number of hours educational activity related to job function (LPN: 4-8; LPN Advanced: 8-12) annually and provides documented evidence of attendance or activity to supervisor
- Performs similar or related duties as requested or directed
- Performs other duties as requested and observed by HR Employee Health Business Partner
- Organizational Responsibilities:

- Maintains appropriate, neat, clean and professional personal appearance, including but not limited to required attire such as uniforms and safety apparel

- Communicates necessary information to HR Employee Health Business Partner / HR Director of Total Rewards in support of departmental and facility standards and policies
What we need from you
Education:
- Graduation from a Practical Nursing Program, required
Experience:
- New Graduate, preferred
- Minimum 1 year previous healthcare experience, preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
- Current NYS Licensure as a Practical Nurse, required
- BLS Certification within 6 months of hire, required

Pay Transparency
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
Pay Range Minimum:
USD $27.31/Hr.
Pay Range Maximum:
USD $40.97/Hr.
