LPN - School in Edison, NJ

A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available in a school setting, providing specialized one-on-one care for a kindergarten student with significant medical needs. This contract role runs through June 23, 2026, with a scheduled spring break from April 3-10, and operates Monday through Friday from 8:25 am to 3:25 pm.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and continuous monitoring for a kindergarten student with medical complexities.
Assist with feeding, ensuring proper chewing and swallowing to maintain safety.
Monitor allergies, and regularly check the student’s temperature and glucose levels.
Manage and document health information according to school nursing protocols.
Collaborate with educational and healthcare staff to create a supportive learning environment.

Desired Qualifications

Must hold a current NJ LPN Licensure/Certification.
Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred.
Ability to manage complex medical needs in a school environment.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers.

Position Details

Full-time contract, 5 days per week.
Hours: 8:25 am – 3:25 pm.
One-on-one care role in a school environment.
