Job Summary

A Nursing Professional Development Generalist uses tools and knowledge to improve learners' understanding of healthcare. They work with staff to implement programs for professional development and continuous learning. The focus is promoting practices that improve patient outcomes organization-wide. This role also advances professional development in line with the system's standards. It fosters growth, learning, and practical knowledge in healthcare.

Essential Functions of the Role

  • You'll assess target audience needs, considering current issues and trends.
  • Validate these needs with stakeholders. Use data to create personalized content for education planning.
  • You will use evidence, theories, research, and experience to create education programs.
  • You'll ensure integrity in activities and offer guidance on ethical conflicts. Respecting autonomy, dignity, and rights of participants is crucial. Report any violations promptly.
  • You will support scientific inquiry and use evidence in practice. Facilitate research, ensure quality improvement, and promote findings through educational programs.

Key Success Factors

  • Familiarity with the benchmarks and operations of nursing and patient care.
  • Knowledge of nursing laws, standards, regulations, and certification bodies is essential. Understanding hospital policies and procedures is required.
  • Knowledge of medical terms, health practices, and medication effects is essential for understanding disease management and prevention.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and speaking.

Such as CVICU, CVPCU, Cath Lab JOB SUMMARY The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional who uses the BSWH nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery by the health care team. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates the patient's response. The RN promotes safe passage for their patients by using knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients to transition through the healthcare encounter without any preventable complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions to health care personnel based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act, each patient's condition and the competencies of the employee. RN job is to be used for RNs in hospital inpatient and outpatient departments with 24X7 staffing which include those departments with on-call staffing on the off shifts.
