The Critical Care Internship Program, or CCIP is an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills to transition into an ICU setting. At BayCare, we have multiple specialties in the ICU including Cardiovascular, Neurological and Medical/Surgical. The ICU is dedicated to providing compassionate care to critically ill adults, with compassionate and family centered care focus.

We are seeking motivated, mature, self-directed professionals who are interested in growing in a dynamic team and making a difference.

📍 Location: St. Joseph's Hospital Main - Opportunities in CVICU, MSICU, and Neuro ICU.

📝 Additional Information on Critical Care Internship Program

3 weeks of didactic and minimum 16 weeks of preceptorship
Guided clinical orientation to ensure up-to-date and comprehensive care knowledge
Shift: Interns will gain experience on both day and night shift before being assigned a permanent shift
Every other weekend requirement
Commitment: This is an hours-based commitment required for the internship program specifically to the unit of hire beginning at the end of completed preceptorship hours

These openings are limited and may not be available each cycle. Due to limited openings for these specialties, active RN license is strongly preferred.

As a New Graduate RN, you will be automatically enrolled in our RN Residency Program.

Active Florida or Compact RN License - Unlicensed candidates must be licensed by March 27th for April 13th start date OR April 24th for the May 11th start date
6 months or less of licensed RN experience
Required : Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
BLS Certification (AHA)
EKG Script test will be provided at the start of the internship program; you are required to pass within 2 attempts. Failure to do so will result in being released from the internship program.
