QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Terminology, theory, techniques and practices of professional nursing including normal conditions of the specialty to which assigned; Concepts of medical, surgical asepsis and disease process; Knowledge of and practice of safe body mechanics; Knowledge of and ability to use specialized equipment for assigned unit. Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: BSN; and One-year experience working with physicians and radiologist performing invasive procedures.
Lic/Reg/Cert: Current Oregon RN license.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
Medium to high physical and mental demand capabilities required. Must be able to frequently stoop, bend, and reach. Must be able to withstand constant walking, standing, lifting at least 50 pounds or more, push/pull regulation hospital equipment, occasional sitting. Must be able to function under periods of stress, trauma and/or disease.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Demonstrates and applies an in-depth knowledge of nursing principles, practices, standards, and techniques.
- Applies nursing knowledge in accordance with corporate and procedures and adheres to policies and procedures of the department and of the hospital.
- Practices professional nursing within the Oregon State Board’s Scope of Practice at all times and maintains awareness of the RN’s professional responsibility to safeguard the patient at all times.
- Demonstrates an ability to communicate effectively using pertinent data with physicians, patients, families and peers.
- Effective and accurate and timely communication of problems and participation in resolution.
- Actively listens to and resolves immediate problems.
- Understands the workflow of the Diagnostic Imaging Department. Demonstrates and understanding of all facets of Imaging-based procedures.
- Regularly reviews for in progress to ensure care in proceeding as scheduled. Involves patients and families in education and preparation for discharge.
- Consistently demonstrates a timely and dependable attitude in all aspects of work assignments; meets deadlines for assigned projects.
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and effectively utilize time management.
- Actively involved with orientation and training of newly hired staff as assigned.
- Demonstrates an ability to perform in an accurate and precise manner in crises and emergent situations.
- Expected to sign up for weekend call on a rotated basis. Call hours are 0700-1900 Saturday and Sunday.

PAY RANGE - $53.87-$76.92
