TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians.  The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services.  The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents.  The program provides rural acute care hospitals with a range of opportunities for service enhancement and quality of care improvement.  Quality healthcare and patient safety is our goal.  Delivering the right care at the right time in the right setting is the core mission of a critical access hospital.  We are committed to improve the quality of care we deliver every day.  TMC Bonham is managed by Texoma Medical Center, subsidiary of UHS.

The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.

Qualifications

The House Supervisor is an extension of administrative functions, serving as role model and resource person. Assume shift responsibility and accountablility for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal healthcare outcomes. Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision. Demonstrate professionalism and service excellence standards at all times.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:

  • Current Texas nursing license or compact license.
  • BSN/ MSN preferred
  • Three years experience in acute care nursing.
  • One year charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must maintain all clinical competencies for area of supervison.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS and PALS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting. TNCC due within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • Must maintain all certifications required by areas of supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess critical thinking skills and sound decision making and problem solving abilities.
  • Must be service excellence focused (strong customer service and team building skills).
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate team leadership.
  • Must have the ability to problem solve andthink critically.
  • Must possess basic computer application skills.

JOB SUMMARY: The Manager of Quality and Risk Management has the responsibility for overseeing the coordination, implementation and follow-up on activities related to these areas of service.
