IU Health Arnett in Lafayette, IN is seeking an experienced and innovative nursing leader to support our weekend day shift team. This position offers flexibility and can be hired as either 0.6 FTE (part‑time) or 0.9 FTE (full‑time).
Shift: Weekends, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (Days)

Position Overview:
In this critical leadership role, you will support clinical operations and patient care delivery during weekend daytime hours. Responsibilities include:
- Providing unit leadership and management oversight in the absence of administrative leaders
- Facilitating safe and efficient patient flow, including patient placement and throughput
- Serving as a resource and consultant for emergent, complex, or unusual situations
- Collaborating with clinical teams to resolve issues and escalate concerns appropriately
- Ensuring adherence to patient care policies, regulatory guidelines, and organizational standards
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse who demonstrates strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to lead with confidence and compassion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; relevant experience may be considered
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (AHA) required; additional life support certifications may be required based on unit specialty
- Clinical specialty certification preferred
- 5–7 years of relevant clinical experience, demonstrating progressive responsibility and leadership capability
