POSITION DESCRIPTION: The incumbent is responsible for providing quality care to the residents to ensure their health, safety, and security in accordance with established agency Standard Operating Procedures and Nurse Practice Act. Incumbent reports to the Nursing Supervisor. Provides administrative support that is technical in nature through established nursing standards, the individualized care plan and interdisciplinary teamwork according to established local and FDVA policies and procedures Coordinates shift assignments to team members, providing supervision of licensed and unlicensed staff and follow up to ensure completion of assignments Provide assistance with all aspects of resident care, treatments, self-administration of medications, coordinating medical appointments and spending time in social interactions with residents each shift worked Report resident concerns and needs promptly to the appropriate team member Assist with monitoring and accountability of residents to enable medical personnel to accomplish health related tasks Follow Resident’s Rights policies at all times and maintain confidentiality of resident information Consistently work cooperatively and respectfully with residents, family or resident representatives, facility staff, physicians, ARNP’s, consultants and ancillary service providers to assist residents to achieve maximum abilities, safety and promote happiness Document services and care plan outcomes appropriately within the facility software/database Participate in staff development and orientation of new personnel Attends all in-service programs, training classes and domiciliary meetings.
