Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center is Southwest Washington’s most modern hospital, offering the latest technology in a setting designed for comfort and care for the whole family. We feature innovations in joint replacement, robotic surgery, pelvic health for women, cancer care, intensive care for newborns, neurosurgery, medical care for children and more. Legacy Salmon Creek is a Joint Commission accredited Primary Stroke Center. The Emergency Department has 32 beds, with 75,000 annual visits. We have a unique triage intake process with a provider in triage. This process helps improve patient flow and satisfaction. Responsibilities Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO. Experience: One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration. Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized. Emergency RN experience preferred. Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions. Licensure Current applicable state RN license required. AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers. The RN Staff Nurse Ambulatory-Clinic is responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse Ambulatory-Clinic assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer. The Postpartum Care Center provides an important safety net between delivery and outpatient follow up with patients OB and Pediatric providers. Mothers and infants are seen by a nurse who will perform a basic assessment as well as provide assistance with feedings, answer questions and provide additional education. Appointments are typically 30 minutes to 1 hour. RN Staff Nurse - Surgical Services

The Surgical Services department comprises areas in both the outpatient and inpatient surgical areas: 30 outpatient beds located on the 2nd 32 private inpatient beds on the 6th Primary patient population/diagnoses include elective, urgent, and emergent surgical cases: Orthopedic General Surgery Gynecological Urology Ear, Nose, &Throat Vascular Plastics Neruosurgery Wound Debridement Pain management Cath Lab Endoscopy Responsibilities Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO. Experience: One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration. Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized. Acute care experience with surgical/post procedural background preferred. Pediatric background helpful, but not required. This position is expected to cross-train to both inpatient and outpatient surgical areas and maintain competency to care for patients. Orientation and education will be provided to both areas to ensure appropriate training for the employee. This position is required to take call, with a 45-minute response, in the outpatient setting as required by unit expectations. The position requires Holiday and weekend rotation and varied shift start times. Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community.
