Alliance Cancer Specialists is seeking a compassionate and skilled On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our oncology care team in our HORP Division (includes: Riddle, Glenn Mills, and Ridley Offices). In this role, you’ll provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment as needed. You’ll work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support patients through every step of their cancer journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver professional nursing care in accordance with national standards and oncology-specific guidelines
Assess patient health status through interviews, physical exams, and review of medical history
Administer medications, blood products, and therapies under physician supervision
Perform venipuncture, access ports, and maintain central line devices
Monitor lab results and collaborate with physicians on dose modifications and symptom management
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and available resources
Provide psychosocial support and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control protocols
Assist with scheduling, triaging patient calls, and managing medication refill requests
Serve as a mentor to LPNs, MAs, and less experienced nurses
Participate in professional development and stay current with oncology nursing best practices

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (oncology experience preferred)

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for patient care tasks
Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and medical preparations common to oncology clinics
In-person interaction with patients, physicians, and clinical staff is essential
