Seeking a experienced Registered Nurse for clients in Las Cruces, NM and surrounding areas.

The registered professional nurse is responsible for utilizing job skills to effectively carry out the nursing process: including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, documentation and time management. They are responsible for quality communication, teamwork and leadership/professionalism. Also directs, coordinates and implements patient teaching, quality/safety initiatives, and activities of other health team personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

A Registered Nurse Per Diem (RN PD) is responsible for the care of the population they are assigned. Routinely solicits and validates patient/family satisfaction, participates in peer review for our clientele.

Supervising care treatment and services of patient care provided by LPNs, CNAs and other staff on assigned unit and shift. Developing, implementing, and evaluating an individual plan of care for each client. Assessment and re-assessment of patients. Communicating appropriate information with the interdisciplinary team. Reporting client concerns and changes in condition to supervisor and/or physician in a timely manner. Roles and Responsibilities: · Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of client, develops and implements nursing care plans, maintains medical records and educates clients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions while ensuring client safety at all times. · Assesses client’s status on an ongoing basis and pertinent information gathered is documented. · Ensures nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs and initial treatment plan is completed upon admission. · Takes physician’s orders (verbal or via telephone) accurately and documents appropriately; transcribes and reviews physician’s orders. Ensures physician’s orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure. · Accurately administers medications per ordered note and documents accurate count of controlled substance. Directs, plans, coordinates, monitors and supervises the effective and efficient use of the operations of nursing and the safe delivery of behavioral health/nursing services with a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude. Ensures the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with the facility’s strategic goals and objectives. Roles and Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Sets the vision for nursing practice in the delivery of safe, timely, efficient, equitable and client centered care. Manages the daily operations of nursing services. Develops, maintains and implements nursing services, policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice and accrediting agencies, facility philosophy and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state, federal and local governmental agencies laws and regulations. Develops and interprets operational indicators to detect census and acuity changes and increases or decreases in volume that could impact staffing levels, revenues or expenses. Acts to correct undesirable trends. Allocates nursing resources based on measurement of client acuity/care needed.
