Job Summary and Qualifications
The RRT RN will support the mission, vision and values of the organization while performing direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the acute and critically ill patient. The RRT RN will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic. The RRT RN will maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, participate in MCL initiatives and process improvement, maintain high-quality age specific care for the adult population. The RRT RN will support care delivery with a focus on the deteriorating and/or high-risk patient, evaluate and intervene for said patients according to the guidelines approved by the Medical Executive Committee. The RRT RN will assess, organize, intervene and evaluate when there is a change in condition and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team which may include performing ACLS/BLS according to the guidelines recommended by the American Red Cross. The RRT RN may assume responsibilities and roles of the House Supervisor per training and competency.
RNs are responsible for providing care that is appropriate to the patient’s age specific(adolescent, adult and geriatric patients),developmental and safety needs of the assigned patient population. In addition to the RN duties and responsibilities, the RN scope includes charge duties. The charge nurse makes patient assignments, supervises and directs the staff and unit activities for the assigned shift.

What qualifications you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree required; BSN preferred
- TX RN License or RN Compact State License
- RRT RN should have a minimum of three years’ experience in the intensive care unit setting.
