Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Medical Assistant to support our Endocrinologist in clinical and administrative assistance in a multi-office setting. This role will report to the Office Manager and enable us to continue to scale in the healthcare industry.

*This position requires travel between two office locations in Arcadia and City of Industry and includes both clinic-day and non-clinic-day responsibilities.

What You'll Do

  • Travel between Arcadia and City of Industry offices as scheduled
  • Assists physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician
  • Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records
  • Clinical duties may include, such as preparing a treatment room for patient exams, recording patient medical history, and cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in the patient's chart
  • Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files
  • Handle injections, blood draws, and EKGs as needed
  • Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Assist with charge preparation and documentation on non-clinic days
  • Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills in a fast-pace environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to prioritize workload while remaining flexible
  • May be required to work overtime to meet tight deadlines


Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant certification or equivalent training
  • One (1) or more years of experience working as a Medical Assistant 
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to travel between multiple office locations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality following HIPAA
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and basic medical office procedures
  • (Preferred) Fluent in Spanish
  • (Preferred) Previous experience in endocrinology or specialty practice
