LPN School Contract

A full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide nursing support in an educational setting in Oro Grande, CA. This contract position will cover a maternity leave from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY) and is designed for a candidate who is already credentialed. The LVN/LPN will work closely with independent study centers across several cities in the high desert region, with a home base in Victorville, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care and support to students across multiple independent study centers.
  • Coordinate with staff to address health needs and provide general nursing services.
  • Travel between locations as required, with mileage reimbursed or a vehicle potentially provided.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to relevant healthcare standards in school settings.
  • Support the health and wellness of students, working within a structure that is not 1:1 nursing care.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current and valid LVN/LPN license preferred.
  • Experience working as an LVN/LPN in school or pediatric health settings.
  • Ability to travel between locations within the high desert region.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work full time (40 hours/week) and adapt to varying caseload needs.

  • Oro Grande, CA 92368, with a home base in Victorville but requiring travel across multiple cities.
  • Full-time contract through the end of the school year.
