Float Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech at Colorado Urologic Surgery Center

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certification as required by state and/or center
Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

Your responsibilities will include: Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team’s needs Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns Upholding sterile technique, completing room turnover efficiently, and supporting a high-performing, collaborative team environment What qualifications you will need: State of Colorado Surgical Registry required. Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Current CST Certification from NBSTSA preferred. Graduation from an accredited program for Operating Room Technicians. One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
