Job Summary and Responsibilities The Nurse in the Medical Telemetry unit is located on the 7th floor of St. Michael Medical Center. This unit has 32 private rooms and is a telemetry capable medical surgical unit. Our unit consists of medical patients requiring non-acute cardiac telemetry monitoring and general surgical overflow. The patient to nurse ratio is set to match staff requirements to meet the care needs of patients. The Charge RN creates shift assignments based on patient census, patient complexity, nurse experience level, and staff skill mix. Minimum 6 months previous RN experience required. One year of related work experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing. Specialty certification, as appropriate to the assigned work unit, is strongly preferred. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
